Challenges for Vanderbilt
No sports program has been victimized more by COVID deceit and rumormongering than Vanderbilt. In the recent College World Series, NC State had to drop out for COVID reasons the day they were supposed to play Vandy for the right to go to the CWS finals. Conspiracy theories against Vanderbilt flowed high and wide. Some saying that the Vandy baseball coach had demanded NC State be tested for COVID. The fact is, the testing was standard and required to be done by the NCAA. During the 2020 football season, Vandy did not have enough players to play Georgia. More conspiracy theories and whining, this time Vandy did it because they were “afraid” to play Georgia. The Commodores have been playing SEC win-at-all costs behemoths programs for decades. If they didn’t want to play these types of programs don’t you think they’d just switch to the Sunbelt conference or something? The Commodores’ challenge is to put this disappointing loss behind them and focus on UConn, a team that has struggled but seems to be improving.
Saturday‘s game kicks off at 6:30 PM CT (7:30 PM ET). You can watch this SEC football game on the ESPNU Network.
