Challenges for Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt, like many other FBS teams, suffered through a no-wins COVID season in 2020. The Commodores will have a new head coach on Saturday in former VU player Clark Lea. His team will face East Tennessee State in Saturday’s opening game.
ETSU is a solid FCS team. They finished the 2020 season with a 4-2 record. Quay Holmes, a running back, is ETSU’s top player. He averaged over 100 yards rushing per game last season.
Vanderbilt’s never lost a game to an FCS team. The Commodores need to take ETSU seriously in order to continue that trend.
