Challenges for Mississippi State
Mike Leach and his pass-happy Mississippi State team should be much improved in 2021 due to continuity in the program. In 2020 the Bulldogs were being introduced to the Leach offensive system. In 2021, with a season of experience and two spring practices learning the system, the Bulldogs should experience more success.
Louisiana Tech is a team that should be solid in 2021. The Bulldogs (La. Tech) return most of their offensive line and two decent quarterbacks who need to improve on their touchdown to interception ratios. Skip Holts is a solid coach and could make things difficult for Mississippi State. Tech safety BeeJay Williamson is one of the best of the defenders. Last season he had 56 tackles and 3 picks. State will probably win this game but like most other SEC teams playing this Saturday, they can’t sleep on their opponent.
