Challenges for Arkansas
Second-year head coach Sam Pittman will open the 2021 season against the Rice Owls who finished the 2020 season with a 2-3 record. The Owl’s 2020 opponents weren’t up to SEC standards but they were at least competitive beating No. 15 Marshall 20-0 on the road. Their worst margin of loss was 10 points at North Texas. The Owls are expected to be a run-heavy team this season because most, if not all of the starting offensive line from 2020 returns. Arkansas should win this game but can’t afford to sleep on the Owls.
Saturday‘s game kicks off at 1:00 PM CT (2:00 PM ET). You can watch this SEC football game on the SEC Network + and ESPN+ Network.
