Challenges for Kentucky
Kentucky is in the same boat with a lot of other SEC teams that are opening their seasons against non-power or FCS schools. That’s pretty much a tradition in the SEC. The season is going to be long and grueling so make your opening game be against a team that can help build confidence and also allow players who are relegated to the scout team a chance to get on the field. ULM is a team that finished the 2020 season with a 0-10 record. New head coach Terry Bowden will work to get the Warhawks back to respectability. A player the Wildcats will need to keep under wraps is wide receiver Perry Carter, who was the team’s leading receiver a year ago with 22 catches while averaging over 20 yards per reception.
