Ole Miss-Arkansas Prediction

Ole Miss at Arkansas at the start of March. Guess which team is the NCAA Tournament team, and guess which team is clearly headed for the NIT, with its coach in huge trouble. Yep, it’s exactly the opposite of what you would expect. Ole Miss has a very thin NCAA Tournament history. Aside from the golden years of 1997 through 2002, you can count the Rebels’ NCAA appearances on one hand. Arkansas, in marked contrast, was one of the Cadillac programs in college basketball from the late 1970s through the early 2000s. Yet, as these teams prepare for Saturday’s game, the Rebels – not the Hogs – are making plans for March. Arkansas has been on a steady downward trajectory in recent weeks. There is little reason to think the Razorbacks will rally around Mike Anderson in a season which has flown off the rails. Ole Miss 76, Arkansas 67. (Matt Zemek)
