West Virginia-Tennessee Prediction
The Tennessee Volunteers realized what life is like as the No. 1 team in the United States this past week against Vanderbilt. They escaped, but only by the smallest of margins. Everyone is now gunning for the Vols, a reality they are still getting adjusted to. They did well at Florida, but they almost allowed both Alabama and Vanderbilt to knock them off. Will Tennessee slide into a pattern of uncertainty? Will players feel the strain of thinking they have something to lose, rather than playing with the swagger which marked the first two weeks of SEC play? Where is the team which humiliated Georgia and buried Arkansas? That is the team Rick Barnes would love to see again. Given the stress this team seems to be carrying, even a bad West Virginia team will probably hang around. Tennessee 77, West Virginia 65. (Matt Zemek)
