Vanderbilt-Tennessee Prediction
The Tennessee Volunteers did not play the toughest part of their SEC schedule in January and the first half of February. Everyone knew this. Everyone could see this. Moreover, Kentucky had just lost to LSU, making Saturday’s game against the Volunteers that much more important for the Wildcats. It was a situation in which the Vols were set up to fail, and they got drilled. It was all very predictable. Now, though, comes the truly uncertain phase of the Vols’ season: Will that loss to Kentucky wake them up and show them that they have to work much harder in order to become SEC champions and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, or will the Big Orange get rattled by their experience in Rupp Arena? We can wrestle with this question and yet acknowledge Vanderbilt isn’t the true test of it. Tennessee 82, Vanderbilt 64.
