Vanderbilt-Missouri Prediction
This will be the saddest SEC basketball game before SEC Tournament Wednesday and those two lonely, nobody-wants-to-play first-round SEC Tournament games in early March. Vanderbilt is clearly the worst team in the SEC, going through the worst stretch of an utterly miserable season which has been derailed by the Darius Garland injury. Missouri lost Jontay Porter before the season due to injury. It blew a big late lead a week ago against LSU. Now comes the news of the NCAA penalties against multiple Mizzou programs – basketball might not have been affected, but morale on the Missouri campus cannot be very high right now. The atmosphere in Columbia does not figure to be electric. This is a pride game in which two teams will try to block out recent sufferings and display as much effort as possible. Vanderbilt will probably fall short. Missouri 62, Vanderbilt 56. (Matt Zemek)
