Vanderbilt-Kentucky Prediction
Both Vanderbilt and Kentucky are struggling as they head into this game, but they are struggling on different levels of pain and misery. Kentucky’s struggles belong to a team which is trying to get a high seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats are currently in the 4-5 seed range as a preliminary measure of their quality. They hope to become a 2 or 3 seed. Yet, based on their sluggish performances, the Wildcats look like a team which will absorb several more losses in the SEC, too many to reach their intended goals. Compared to Vanderbilt, however, Kentucky is enjoying a smooth season. The Darius Garland injury has gummed up the works for the Commodores, but even without Garland, an 0-2 start against Ole Miss and Georgia is a disappointment. Now VU goes to Rupp Arena? It will not end well for Vanderbilt. Kentucky 80, Vanderbilt 70. (Matt Zemek)
