Texas A&M-Mississippi State Prediction
Texas A&M had a terrible January and a much-improved February. The Aggies, however, regressed earlier this week in a blowout loss to a South Carolina squad which had been struggling. A&M has showed it can win on the road in the SEC – at Alabama and Arkansas in particular – but the South Carolina loss reminded SEC observers that the Aggies are in the bottom tier of the league for a reason. Mississippi State has lost consecutive games, but the Bulldogs had tough assignments on the road at Auburn and Tennessee. Back home for Senior Day, and headed for the NCAA Tournament in a very successful season, Mississippi State figures to regroup and enter the SEC Tournament on a high note. If there is a dark horse at the SEC Tournament, MSU might represent one of the more realistic choices to cause havoc in the brackets. Mississippi State 70, Texas A&M 61. (Matt Zemek)
