Tennessee-LSU Prediction
For the second straight Saturday, Tennessee walks into an enemy lair against an opponent which will be hopping mad. Last Saturday, the Basket Vols knew that Kentucky would be angry after losing at home to LSU earlier in the week. Knowing that UK would be ornery did nothing to elevate Tennessee’s performance, however. The Vols were punched in the mouth by the Wildcats and were never close in the second half. Now, the cycle has continued: LSU will be furious on Saturday after losing at home to Florida. The Tigers’ only two SEC losses this year have been at home. Imagine that. Will Wade’s team should be full of energy. Can Tennessee handle a motivated opponent this time? It doesn’t seem like the Vols are ready. They were ragged against Vanderbilt. Maybe they were looking ahead, too… but are they likely to overcome LSU’s best shot? LSU 73, Tennessee 69. (Matt Zemek)
