Missouri-Tennessee Prediction
The Tennessee Volunteers went through a moderately rough patch in their season. They were barely defeating inspired opponents and seemed to be feeling the weight of the season, particularly the burden of being the No. 1 team in the country. However, the Vols survived their close shaves and, instructively, found a way to refresh themselves. They delivered a pair of road thumpings last week to South Carolina and Texas A&M. They return to Thompson-Boling Arena in top form, intent on keeping pace with Kentucky at the top of the SEC. Missouri is playing hard for Cuonzo Martin, but merely playing hard isn’t enough to beat the Vols. Tennessee has talent to match its toughness. The Vols have so many different ways to beat opponents, and they don’t get outworked. It is hard to see what Mizzou can offer that will threaten the Big Orange here. Tennessee 77, Missouri 62. (Matt Zemek)
