Missouri plays at South Carolina on Saturday in a key SEC basketball matchup. Look inside for a preview of the game along with a final score prediction.
The street-fighting qualities of South Carolina basketball under Frank Martin – which took a relatively ordinary 2017 regular season and turned it into the first Final Four run in program history – are very much in evidence. At Florida in the SEC opener and at home against Mississippi State, the Gamecocks have shrugged off a rough non-conference slate to move to 2-0 in the SEC. They have momentum, they have confidence, and now they host a scuffling Missouri team. South Carolina still has a lot of work to do to boost its resume to an NCAA Tournament level, but winning 11 SEC games will give the Gamecocks a very good chance. Staying on the current path will put them in the right position. Missouri is not playing particularly well. The Gamecocks are equipped to continue their early-January run. South Carolina 75, Missouri 70.
