Missouri-Auburn Prediction

The Missouri Tigers had it all wrapped up. Leading by 14 with just over two minutes left, Cuonzo Martin’s team was about to give LSU its first SEC loss of the season. Then everything fell apart. LSU pressed, forcing turnovers, and a few whistles didn’t go Missouri’s way. Before the home team knew it, the visitors from Baton Rouge had forced overtime. LSU pounced on a shaken opponent which still couldn’t believe what had happened. Missouri let a near-certain home win slip away, an event which seems to occur at least once every winter. Now Mizzou has to face another group of Tigers, this time on the road. Auburn will be steaming mad after losing a second straight game. Bruce Pearl’s team has to stop fooling around, chiefly in the paint, where this team has underperformed. This could get ugly. Auburn 89, Missouri 66. (Matt Zemek)
