LSU-Kentucky Prediction

LSU-Kentucky is a delicious matchup between LSU’s skilled backcourt scorers and Kentucky’s lockdown perimeter defenders. Skylar Mays and Tremont Waters against Ashton Hagans and Tyler Herro? Oh, my. Then you have a couple of “Reids” who will both try to write a triumphant story in this game. LSU’s Naz Reid can play inside or outside. He will try to step outside and draw Kentucky’s big men out of the paint. One of those big men is the other “Reid” on the floor: Reid Travis. He and P.J. Washington will try to hammer LSU on the glass, but LSU defeated Auburn this past Saturday precisely because of its prowess on the offensive backboard. There is so much to love about this game. Ultimately, though, Kentucky is playing at home and playing well, and while LSU certainly has a chance, I know where I would lean. Kentucky 72, LSU 67.
