LSU-Alabama Prediction

LSU head coach Will Wade might be in trouble for reasons other than wins and losses, but Wade’s basketball team has clearly answered a lot of questions in recent weeks. That team now goes to Alabama, where the Crimson Tide – if they truly want to establish themselves as an NCAA Tournament team – need a high-end victory to supplement their takedown of Kentucky. Alabama has been playing its way toward the bubble by losing at home to Florida, getting pounded in a number of road games, and getting swept by Texas A&M. A win over Kentucky and a few solid non-conference victories still matter, but they can’t fully compensate for an increasingly larger amount of blemishes on a resume. Beating LSU would immediately silence any doubts about Bama’s place in the NCAA Tournament. Will the Tide prevail, however? LSU hasn’t yet lost an SEC road game this season. LSU 72, Alabama 71.
