Kentucky-Vanderbilt Prediction

The Kentucky Wildcats have put their struggles behind them. This is not the same team which lost to Alabama at the start of this month. Kentucky has rediscovered the toughness it displayed against North Carolina and Louisville in late December. This is clearly the second-best team in the SEC behind Tennessee. The Wildcats are learning how to play together and are getting more balanced contributions from their roster. Their season has taken a sharply positive turn. Their opponent is in the exact opposite position. Vanderbilt had Tennessee on the ropes a week ago but let the Vols slip away. The Commodores were understandably flat in a hangover-like performance on Saturday in Oklahoma. Expect Vanderbilt to play with supreme effort once again, but Kentucky is in a groove, and Vanderbilt will find it hard to play 40 complete minutes. 25 won’t cut it. Kentucky 71, Vanderbilt 64.
