Alabama hosts Kentucky in both team’s opening SEC hoops clash. Unfortunately for the Tide, this ain’t football. Although Kentucky is much improved in that sport. As usual, just about the time the conference slate kicks off, the Wildcat’s are getting in the groove with recent wins over Louisville and North Carolina. Freshman guard Keldon Johnson leads the Cats with 16 points a game on average. Bama also has a freshman guard that leads their team in scoring. Kira Lewis Jr. is putting up 15 points a game. This game probably wouldn’t be close in Rupp Arena where it’s hard for any team to win but at Coleman Coliseum the Tide should put up a good fight. Kentucky 78, Alabama 74.
This game tips off at Noon CT (1 PM ET). TV: ESPN.
