Georgia-South Carolina Prediction
Georgia won its first SEC road game of the season in March, beating Florida this past weekend. The Bulldogs were so confident after that breakthrough that they stumbled in their next game against Missouri. That’s the kind of season it has been for Georgia: When anything good happens, something much worse soon follows. If there is a time for Georgia to play the Gamecocks, it is right now. South Carolina started the SEC season brightly, then briefly got knocked off course, and then improved for a few more weeks. At the end of the SEC season, however, the air has gone out of the Gamecocks’ balloon. They did beat Texas A&M, but had lost three games in a row before that win in College Station. You don’t know which version of either team you’re going to get, but South Carolina has clearly been the better team in SEC play. South Carolina 66, Georgia 59. (Matt Zemek)
