Georgia-Florida Prediction

Georgia has had so many almost-wins this season, a litany of games in which it was competitive down to the final minute but hasn’t been able to close the sale. For a Florida team which barely escaped Missouri at home this past Saturday, Georgia can’t be overlooked. Whether this is more a commentary on Georgia’s competitive quality or Florida’s “never make anything easy” identity, I’m not sure, but everyone in the room would agree that this is no layup for the Gators. Tom Crean has not lost his team since he threw his players under the bus in February after a home-court loss to Ole Miss. Georgia rarely plays well, but it has not given up on its coach or its season. Florida regularly defends well but needs to find more reliable sources of offense. It should have enough against Georgia. Florida 72, Georgia 65. (Matt Zemek)
