Florida-Mississippi State Prediction
It is only the middle of January, but if you dig too big a hole in this month, you have to produce a virtually flawless February. This is where the Florida Gators and Mississippi State Bulldogs will stand if they can’t win this Tuesday tussle. Florida is in especially bad shape after failing to beat Tennessee. The Gators could have completely transformed their NCAA resume with a victory, but they watched a lead evaporate down the stretch. They have a lot of tough road games ahead, and this is one of them. If UF can’t make positive statements soon, this season could get away from Mike White’s team. Mississippi State has run into problems at the defensive end of the floor. The Bulldogs could not stop Ole Miss. They can’t fall to 0-3 in the SEC… or else. It says here that they won’t. MSU 75, Florida 67. (Matt Zemek)
This game tips off at 7 Eastern, 6 Central, on SEC Network.
