Florida-Kentucky Prediction
The Florida Gators were clearly an NIT team. Then they won at Alabama and LSU and had seemingly turned the corner. Then they decided to lose at home to Georgia. After failing to sweep LSU, they are in a precarious position. They know that if they lose at Kentucky on Saturday, they will need one win at the SEC Tournament to feel reasonably confident about their chances of making the NCAA Tournament. Maybe Florida could lose all of its remaining games and still get in, but the Gators naturally don’t want to take that chance. They have shown they can play elite defense, but their offense suffers far too often. Kentucky did very well to win at Ole Miss earlier this week, and with a loud Rupp crowd in its corner, it is doubtful that UK will lose in this situation. Kentucky 74, Florida 65. (Matt Zemek)
