Florida-Arkansas Prediction

No SEC game this week carries more urgency for both teams. Arkansas avoided a terrible loss to Texas A&M but still has a ton of work to do in order to build its resume. The Razorbacks have not been convincing at home, losing to Georgia Tech and nearly dropping a few other games in non-conference play. Mike Anderson is only just beginning the long uphill climb to transform this team into an SEC force. On the other side of this game lies a Florida team which suffered a stinging loss at home to South Carolina, a jarring blow to Mike White’s campaign. Florida made the Elite Eight in 2017 but has not been able to build off that impressive season. The Gators will have to win in Bud Walton Arena to avoid falling to 0-2 in the SEC. They will do so, but barely. Florida 70, Arkansas 69. (Matt Zemek)
