Auburn-Kentucky Prediction
The Kentucky Wildcats were on their way to a No. 1 NCAA Tournament seed, and they still might be, but now they have to deal with an injury to starting big man Reid Travis, an important part of this team’s steady improvement. It is true that P.J. Washington is terrific, and it is also true that Auburn’s frontcourt has been very inconsistent this season. However, losing Travis and having to play Nick Richards for more minutes is not a change of circumstances Kentucky welcomed. It might not matter: Auburn has been a bad road team this season. The Tigers also struggle in close games. Nevertheless, Auburn has to feel that it might have a better chance of beating UK in this rematch of a game the Cats won on The Plains in January. It will be close… and that means Auburn can’t be trusted. Kentucky 68, Auburn 64. (Matt Zemek)
This game tips off at 12:30 PM CT (1:30 PM ET). TV: CBS.
