Arkansas-Kentucky Prediction

When Mike Anderson was hired at the University of Arkansas, he was hired to make this game against Kentucky the kind of main event it was 25 years ago, when Nolan Richardson and Rick Pitino would match wits. Arkansas-Kentucky never truly regained this kind of status, which neatly explains why the Anderson era has been an object failure. This should normally be a game of great importance in the SEC. It used to be the league’s game of the year. Now, it looks like a complete mismatch, with Arkansas stumbling along and Kentucky being its normal self, fighting for an SEC championship and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Even with the injury to Reid Travis, Kentucky has ample resources and multiple ways to win. Arkansas has no such versatility. This game is going to end in only one way, which is a commentary on the state of the Hogs. Kentucky 68, Arkansas 48. (Matt Zemek)
