Alabama-Tennessee Prediction
The Tennessee Volunteers are making college basketball look very easy. You know they will struggle at some point, but when? When will an opponent play well enough for 40 minutes, not just 35, to knock them off? Florida played about 35 tough minutes last Saturday, but it couldn’t finish the job down the stretch. The Vols were superior in those final five minutes on the road, exhibiting the tunnel vision and staying power of a team which gets a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. No one wants to play the Vols right now. They have raised the bar that much. They aren’t just a team with a decent chance to make the school’s first Final Four. They are a front-of-the-line national title contender with Virginia and Michigan. Is Alabama the kind of team one should EXPECT to play 40 complete minutes? No. Tennessee 74, Alabama 63. (Matt Zemek)
