Alabama-South Carolina Prediction

One team is very much on the bubble. The other team is still in good position to get a double-bye into the SEC Tournament quarterfinals in a few weeks… and might not even be on the bubble at all. If South Carolina is on the bubble, it is on the bottom portion of it. The Gamecocks have to stack together a large number of wins over the next two and a half weeks and go deep into the SEC Tournament (at least the semis, probably the final) if they want any chance at an at-large bid. South Carolina’s best path to the NCAA Tournament is to get into the quarters, win three games, and snag the automatic bid. Alabama has not been playing well enough of late to merit trust on the road. South Carolina is the much better choice in this spot. South Carolina 70, Alabama 65. (Matt Zemek)
