Alabama-Baylor Prediction
These two teams are playing inspired basketball. Alabama and Baylor have overcome some bad stumbles — and in Baylor’s case, an injury — to improve their positions in their respective conferences. This is the kind of game Alabama needs to win to affirm its NCAA Tournament credentials. A team good enough to beat Kentucky and nearly upset Tennessee should be good enough to beat a Baylor team playing without forward Tristan Clark, who was lost for the season with a knee injury suffered earlier in January. Baylor has adjusted well to the Clark injury, but the Bears aren’t playing with a full complement of options. A good team will gather itself, go into Waco, take care of business, and win a non-conference game to impress the committee before returning to the grind of SEC play next week. Alabama 68, Baylor 64.
