Team Statistical Comparison

Florida scores an average of 69.9 points per game while allowing opposing teams to score an average of 64.7 points per contest. Vanderbilt scores an average of 69.4 points per game while allowing opposing teams to score an average of 66.9 points per contest.

These two teams met back in mid-January in Gainesville with the Gators coming out on top 61-42. Vanderbilt has shown much improvement since that game. The Commodores now have in inside presence in 7-foot-tall Liam Robbins to go along with SEC Player of the Year candidate Scotty Pippen Jr. Robbins score 16 points in the recent Commodore close loss to Alabama. Florida needs to win this game to enhance it’s NCAA chances. Barring a miracle SEC Tournament run by Vandy, the Commodores will be playing in the NIT at best but to do that they need to win their final two regular season games and then one or two in the SEC Tournament. That would be a step in the right direction for a Vandy program which hasn’t had a winning season since the Kevin Stallings days. Those who relish sports betting could find this game a challenge.
