Scouting Report
Alabama (16-14, 8-9 SEC) fell to Vanderbilt 87-79 on Tuesday in Tuscaloosa. Vanderbilt’s Saben Lee led the Commodores with 38 points. Kira Lewis of Alabama led the Crimson Tide with 30 points. The Crimson Tide’s last place SEC defense allowed Vanderbilt to make 15 three pointers and that was the main key to the Commodores escaping with a victory.
Missouri (14-16, 6-11 SEC) fell at Ole Miss 75-67 on Wednesday night. Xavier Pinson topped the Tigers with 16 points. Breein Tyree had 19 points for the Rebels. Ole Miss outshot the Tigers from 3-point range 38%-24%. The Rebels also made six more three throws than Mizzou.
This will be a battle of Alabama’s high scoring offense against Missouri’s strong defense. Give the edge to Mizzou in this one. The Tigers have played well at home throughout the season. They should be able to slow Bama down some and earn their seventh conference win. The Tide players are probably kind of downcast after losing that senior night home game to Vandy. Even if Bama defeats Mizzou they practically have to win the SEC Tournament to get in the NCAAs.
