Scouting Report

This is the biggest game of the year in the SEC. Kentucky (23-5, 13-2) hosting Auburn (24-4, 11-4). The Wildcats lost the earlier meeting in Auburn 75-66. Both of these teams are a lock for the NCAAs but this game is really important for tourney seeding purposes. If Auburn can win this they’ll have a marquee road win to add to their portfolio. That would put some pressure on Kentucky in defending its top spot in the SEC with a date in Gainesville coming up soon to finish of the regular season. Playing at home, Kentucky will probably win this one. Don’t blow off Auburn though. Bruce Pearl is a fighter (like John Calilpari) but probably is the better motivator of the two coaches.

Auburn-Kentucky Prediction

Kentucky 75, Auburn 73

Saturday‘s game tips off at 3:45 p.m. ET (2:45 p.m. CT). TV: CBS.
