Scouting Report
This is a game between two teams that are going no where short of SEC Tourney championship. Vanderbilt is on a six game losing streak and Ole Miss has a four game skid. Vandy (1-14, 9-19) is on a cruise course for a one conference win season. That’s at least better than the zero SEC wins they had last season. The Commodores do have some weapons though. Saben Lee is one of the top scorers in the nation and can drive the basket with the best of them. Mizzou did do a good job of limiting his penetration in Vandy’s loss to the Tigers on Wednesday night. Vanderbilt plays hard but they just don’t have the size or experience to compete on the same level as other SEC teams. Ole Miss’ Breein Tyree is the second leading scorer in the SEC, averaging over 20 points per game. Devontae Shuler averages 3.4 assists per game. Ole Miss (4-11, 13-15) should win this one. Vandy hasn’t won a road game all season. However, don’t discount the Commodores. They nearly beat Tennessee in Knoxville a week or so ago.
