However, Ole Miss took the lead with six minutes to play in the half on two Devontae Shuler Shuler free throws. The Rebels then extended their lead to 33-27 at the half. In the second stanza Ole Miss controlled the game through much of the second half, leading by as many as nine points. Two back-to-back three pointers by Isaiah Joe narrowed the Ole Miss lead to 64-62. Joe’s free throw with 2:33 remaining in the game put the Hogs up 69-68 and the Razorbacks would never relinquish that lead.

Mississippi is fourth in the conference in assists with 224 so far this season. Assist to turnover ratio (3rd, 1.1) is another stat in which the Rebels excel. The Rebels are 14th in the league in blocked shots (2.8 bpg).
Florida (10-5, 2-1 SEC) fell to Missouri 91-75 on Saturday in Columbia. In the first half the Tigers bolted to 11-5 lead at the 13:56 mark on a dunk by forward Reed Nikko. That lead bulged to 29-18 with 8:28 to go in the half. The Tigers would head to halftime with an impressive 51-35 lead. In the second half Florida cut the Tigers’ lead to 11 with 13:20 remaining in the game but the lead was back up to 23 with five minutes to go and the Gators never mounted a real threat. Guard Dru Smith was the Tiger’s leader in scoring with 22. Florida big man KerryBlackshear Jr. paced the Gators with 22 as well. This was a game in which the Tigers were just flamming red hot at shooting. They hit 61% from field range and an even better 63% from 3-point range. Florida made a respectable 10 of 23 from beyond the arc and 78% from the line.
Kerry Blackshear is the Gators top scorer so far this season averaging 15.1 points per game. He’s also the Gator’s top rebounder (8.4 rpg). In most stats the Gators are in the middle of the pack. Two areas the Gators somewhat stands out in is rebounding margin (5th, +4.9) and 3-point shooting (4th, 32.7%). Florida does struggle in the area of blocks (10th, 3.9 bpg) and assists (13th, 11.5 apg) and steals (10th, 6.3 spg).
This game should be close but give the Gators the edge at home. They play pretty well on O’Connell Center.
