Sarr is a legit 7-footer from France who was a third-team All-ACC pick last season with 13.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game for Wake Forest. He is also a player who peaked late - suggesting a greater knowledge of the college game - with 25 points against Duke and 30/17 against Notre Dame. He is the top transfer available and he would look great in Kentucky.

Sarr is now officially in the transfer portal and after losing Matt Haarms to BYU after it looked like a done deal we need to beat down the door of the Frenchman until he lands in Lexington.

Well. That didn't take long to go from nothing to everything. Looking forward to see what Olivier can do for us.

This isn't a particularly encouraging take on the Sarr situation. We REALLY need the big man to be eligible to play next year but now there is at least one dissenting voice in the room as to his prospects of doing so.

This is a saga that is going to run and run with everyone having an opinion. The latest is Dickie V who thinks that Sarr will be good to go this fall for us.
“I feel that the NCAA will grant a waiver for [Kentucky’s] Olivier Sarr to be eligible this [year],” Vitale continued in another tweet. “Also based on the quick response on Johnny Juzang given a waiver [at UCLA], I think that the NCAA will be more lenient in waiver requests.”

Paperwork is apparently in to get Sarr eligible immediately. Would be a huge deal if this is a thing given everything we lost from last year.

Assuming that we have football or basketball this year then this is more good news. JT Daniels was granted immediate eligibility in his USC/Georgia transfer. The more like situations get upheld, the harder it is gonna be for the NCAA to turn us down.

Another non-update/update. At least Vitale is campaigning for this saga - which really doesn't even need to be a saga unless I am missing something - to clear up.
