Women's Bowling update / other sports?

I'm just going to post this here because I no longer see the forum for non-revenue sports. While I believe the forum had been named "Future Revenue and Olympic Sports" or something like that, it didn't include basketball and baseball while it did include non-Olympic sports like Women's Bowling. And I doubt that the university is in the future going to make money on sports such as Lacross and Cross Country.

I forget: Are Golf and Soccer Olympic sports?

If you revive that forum, Don, just call it something like "Grab Bag of Other Sports Forum."

Now, as far as the Bowling team is concerned our own website and ncaasports.com are not very helpful. Hours after what I think was a Vanderbilt loss to Losers' Bracket Winner Sam Houston State, the Vanderbilt Bowling headline remains: "Unbeaten VU advances at NCAA"

I say "I think" we lost earlier today because I found a video of the complete 3-hour 45-minute match versus SHS. Trouble is that there is no audio and the scoreboard in the corner of the screen is unreadable. I can't tell you the score, but I can tell you that at the end of the match the SHS women looked happy while the VU women were not particularly cheery. In addition, while the VU women left the lanes cameras continued to focus on SHS.

Sam Houston State's website was even worse than the first two. Take a look at the schedule page. Results of tournaments contested in February and March are still not published.

Vanderbilt must beat SHS Saturday morning to make it to the championship match which will be on ESPNU at 5:30 pm CDT.

I figured it out. We did lose to Sam Houston, but it was a situation where they had to beat us twice. So, we have a winner-take-all tomorrow morning at 9 CT and, if we win, we would play for the national championship at 5:30 CT tomorrow on ESPNU.
