Nashville's just been a happenin' place for the past 10 years. If I hadn't moved to Florida to get married I would have ended up in Nashville even though most of my family is in Atlanta. One of the perks of my daughter being at Vandy is I have an excuse to visit Nashville and not have to explain away the expense to my wife. ("Wouldn't that money be better put to use on the house, honey? We need a new roof, we need to cut down some trees, the grass needs re-sod." Says I, "I just miss my baby girl and want to give her a hug and spend some time with her. I'm not getting any younger.") Another perk of having my daughter there is she is doing a great job of getting me lots of free Vandy swag (soccer neck scarf, anyone?).
She is looking forward to the baseball season. She got into Vandy baseball by wanting to watch Ro Coleman.
