No. He got tripped up getting off the man he tackled. Ref thought he was still shoving. Announcers agreed the call wasn’t warranted.

Very disappointing performance on the the D. We look hopeless. I can’t imagine us stopping an SEC offense—particularly any one with a passing offense.

In Season #3 this would be SMU/Temple bad. All this talk of improvement.

Basically our defensive scheme is showing a flaw.

We are bringing the pass rush - but giving 9 yard cushions.

The only thing available under heat is exactly what we are giving them.

DeRickey Wright just saved us. But things are a bit unsettling.

Great play but the football gods were with us at the goal line.

The answer is not to give the cushions - or stop bringing the heat so often.

Surprise them. When we show the blitz, it’s a 9 yard pass every time. Show blitz and drop out of it.

Our offensive line averages 325. Their defensive line averages 273.3. Are our guys a bunch of blubber or what is the problem?

We need a serious drawing board in the locker room at halftime, and our coaches need to get back to it immediately.

We aren’t that big upfront after all. Our D linemen look like linebackers. Especially by SEC standards.
