Blown opp

Oral Roberts and Oregon. We are way better than either team. Probably beat them 7 or 8 out of 10 games. We blew it at home. SEC tourney did us in.

Losing 3 pitchers was our problem: it is that simple. Very unfortunate luck. The injury bug really bites.

The coaching staff has taken your advice and informed the conference office that Vanderbilt will decline to play in the 2024 SECT.

Don’t forget the team batted .203 against Oregon and XU. Just brutal.

Totally blown opportunity

I think our hitting let us down. Brutal in NCAA's.

I don't think Owen was his usual self, and in hindsight, pitching Ginther after he was held out of the SEC tourney was probably a mistake. Based upon what I saw in the Super Regional, Oregon wouldn't have had the pitching to beat us again if we had won the first game against them. Last night in Game 3 of the SR, they brought in a freshman pitcher with the bases loaded who had thrown less than 7 innings all year and had 10 walks. He promptly walked 2 and hit another batter before they pulled him. It was brutal to watch all the walks Oregon was giving up.
