Is C.H. done for the season or could he show back up? Maybe out of the bullpen?

Buddy of mine was at the SECT and he heard Carter was not on the roster for Hoover.

I don’t really know how to check that for this weekend, but maybe somebody else does?

from aria gerson's tennesseean article about who might pitch tonight:

"Besides Futrell and Schultz, all other pitchers on the regional roster are available, Corbin said. Three pitchers − Carter Holton, Andrew Dutkanych and Colton Regen − were left off the roster due to injuries."

Since there is apparently a roster limit and a set roster provided to NCAA game officials, that should be available to us online.

However, the VU “Game Notes” roster includes the entire team and the link to Vanderbilt’s roster on the Nashville Regional page takes you to the full roster on vucommodores.com.

Carter Holton, Colton Regen, Andrew Dutkanych, and JD Roger were left off the regional roster due to injuries. It's not likely Holton will return in time for a super regional.

Thank Aria for me for that list.

Good to know that Arias (no relation) is on the active roster. If Davis had to leave the game yesterday, he might have gotten into the game at 3B or 2B (move Austin).

Would have liked to see more guys playing different positions in the midweek games, including Maldo the Younger in the infield.

Is Holton totally done for the season? Even if we get to Omaha??

My guess is we wouldn't see Carter until Omaha at the earliest, and even then it's questionable.

I’d be surprised to see him back at all this season. After missing so much time due to injury, it would seem imprudent to throw him into action in Omaha. Maybe he could come out of the bullpen, but I wouldn’t even hold my breath on that.

When pitcher misses this much time his arm is clearly tender. I’d say he’s done

I'd be stunned to see him again this year. Dut or Regen either.
