Leadoff hitter gets on. Let’s go.

Ginther has to be the most unexpected surprise of the season. If the graphic at the start of the telecast is correct, then he has appeared in exactly half of Vandy's games this year and performed well. He has thrown 3 shutout innings today...errrra...he has given up zero earned runs today.

Twice today runner at second, one out, no contact. Bad situational hitting. Luckily Austin drills a 2 out single to bring in the run.

Again, leadoff base runner = pressure on pitcher = good things happen.

Another run in and we run the pitcher. First and third now with 2 down. Could use a hit by McKenzie to keep this going.

Failure to capitalize may come home to roost.

We have left two on in the second and third.

With 2 strikes and 2 outs - choke up and make contact fellas.

Hitting to contact does not fit the Vandy swing model. Sigh...

Wonder if Ginther will come out in the fifth. Corbin said in the pre-game he was hoping to get 4 good innings from him and he has 69 pitches.

We need to pick up 3-4 runs here. I have to leave in 20 minutes and want a bigger lead. Ha.

And Vastine with a solid play to start to atone for that early error. Now if only he can log a few RBI all is forgotten!

Diaz has been the Bradfield of infield defense for Vandy. He has stolen a lot of outs this year

A little surprised to see Schultz in this situation.

Not sure an interference call on the batter would’ve been justified. But squeezing the strike zone sure didn’t help on that Arky RBI.

Ump not making it any easier. Schultz struck him out - called a ball. Watch the replay, Vastine in disbelief at the terrible call.

Another screwing by the umps. Stolen base, aided by a non-called interference, followed by a strikeout called a ball, followed by a single and it is 4-3.

Take Schultz out.

This was a really bad coaching decision.

Sure seems like now the ump is pissed that VU would dare question him on the interference no call. Now squeezing the strike zone even farther. Jerk.
