The credibility of ESPN and the NCAA is seriously questionable. Is news moving too fast for them to keep up.

I can’t find anything about how the error occurred or even the NIT admitting to making an error.
But we’ll take it.
Edit: The Selection Show even had an interview with the committee chairman. He could have said:
“Um, that doesn’t look right….”
And near the end of the broadcast one of the guys made the common error of referring to the “NIT tournament” which is redundant. It’s like saying “National Invitation Tournament tournament.”
