As of Saturday Ken "Peyote" Pom has VU at #79. Right on, Ken.

Closer to reality is Sagarin which shows us close to the pack, with an overall record largely in-line with SEC "automatics" and bubblers generally perceived to be above us. Finishing league play above Arkansas, Auburn, and Miss State should count for something, plus Auburn is 3-7 in its last 10 versus our 9-1. Our record against the top 25 and top 50 is on-par with all, and better than Arkansas, Auburn, (and Florida, which Ken's Palm ranks #62, seventeen slots above VU). And of course we've recently beaten most of the teams "above" us, including UK twice, which should also count for something.

Our late run sans Liam has made us this week's feel good story, but I think today we're closer to "flip a 4-sided coin" territory with Auburn, Arkansas, and Mississippi State, and need to beat A&M to lock in. Tall order. Don't care about Alabama tomorrow, they're armed and dangerous.

If the committee truly scrubs each team as they say they do, vandy will rank higher than the teams below them in the league and others outside the league. Im gonna trust the process and hope for the best. Each league apparently also has a “representative” who updates the committee on how things are going. If that individual has been watching Vandy we’re in.

AND, that Grambling loss was to a team that is heavily favored to punch their own dance ticket today!
