We were playing Miss. State as well. I was there to watch what I will always say was (IMHO) the greatest moment in Vandy basketball history. On March 5, 2008, Shan Foster refused to lose on his Senior night at Memorial scoring 42 points on 64% shooting in a miraculous (OT) win 86-85.

Shan is the record career scorer at Vandy with 2011 points.

I was there. Shan was not going to be stopped that night. Everyone in the gym knew who was getting the ball and he was not going to be denied.

Too bad that game wasn’t televised for more people to witness.

I heard it on the radio. Here's what one can see even if there was no tv coverage:

End of the regular game leading to OT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T99IXaEaiZ0

how OT ended: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoTm-rPaitg

Winning shot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDOjtBbUGCk <-- that was a guarded long shot and he made it anyway.
