Great effort
By the team tonight against a good team in a hostile environment. Keep it up, guys. Refs didn’t give you a fair shake but there are a lot of games ahead.

Re: Great effort
there's not getting a fair shake, and then there's getting completely screwed over while the upright is shaking from clear interference...even the announcing crew couldn't believe it and kept mentioning it.
The refs killed our momentum early in the 2nd half. Basket interference not called (after missing a goaltending earlier)...Stute gets roughed up, nothing called, so he makes an obvious shove which is promptly called. Shelby gets a 3-point shot blocked, and the ball is handed to UT. There's only so much crap players can deal with. With the Lexington collapse, It's abundantly clear that UT is to get the golden glove treatment, and an assist to the top line of the bracket in March. Frustration fouls and a complete hold back on effort to avoid fouls (Liam) were evident.
I commend CJS for keeping his cool during the game.
All that stated, we need to hit shots at key moments...
Any reason we haven't seen a twin-towers line up in a while (used to see Q and Liam out together)? Liam and Dort out there together tonight might've given UT some headaches on the boards.

Re: Great effort
Refs were a pain in the neck but we just plain missed shots.
Great effort nonetheless- glad to see Dort get some minutes. Enjoyed Shelby's and Robbins' output too.

Re: Great effort
This is exactly what I thought...the missed / bad calls are momentum killers particularly when we are so streaky. There were some questionable foul calls in the 1st half ... too touchy ... but the interference and blocked shot out of bounds call were particularly egregious. No doubt they still probably win, but its tough to for a team like ours to overcome some of those bad calls.doubledore9603 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:56 pm
