Pitt
Pitt is 6-3 so they are better than the "bryce drew" seasons they had under Stallings.
But looking further into their body of work...lost at home to VCU. Blown out big by unranked WVU. Also blown out by borderline ranked Michigan who was taken into OT at home by a rebuilding Ohio U. team. They did get a close win over NC State...unranked but a decent to pretty good team.

Re: Pitt
Pittsburgh is an extremely experienced team, but many of the parts are just learning how to work with each other. It will be a tough game.
10 players average 8.5+ minutes (7 of them over 17 mpg).
Leading scorer/rebounder Blake Hinson is a 22-year-old transfer from Ole Miss.
Second in pts/reb 22-year-old Jamarius Burton has played for Wichita State and Texas Tech.
23-year-old Senior Greg Elliott played 4 years at Marquette.
23-year-old Senior Nelly Cummings is on his third team as well.
23-year-old Senior Nike Sibande started 3 seasons at Miami (Oxford) averaging over 30 minutes and 15 points. He is in his second year at Pitt.
You have to get to no. 6 in minutes played to find a Junior who has played his entire college career as a Pitt Panther.

Re: Pitt
Thanks @Versus75, appreciate the data. Sounds like it's going to be a challenge. Perhaps we have more raw talent (maybe?), but we seem pretty evenly matched. While they have 3 guys listed at 6'11 or above, they're all underclassmen and only one, "Frederiko Frederiko", is a sophomore, with the other two being twins from the Canary Islands. Frederiko is seemingly getting better as the season progresses, with 13 points in his last game against UT Martin, but I expect our bigs to give them trouble.
This would be a good win for the team, I imagine the spread will be very close.
Have to imagine a team with that veteran makeup will continue to improve as the season progresses, so a win here would likely look even better down the road.

Re: Pitt
VU loses tonight because in addition to Wright and Lewis struggling with injuries, the entirety of the starting lineup contracts a particularly catastrophic case of flu that causes them to simultaneously dispel all bodily fluids from both ends in the locker room. The rest of the team vomits their collective remaining fluids from only the top exit when their gag reflexes are induced. It is an unmitigated disaster.

Re: Pitt
Man. I miss the days of playing at home and you had to go an hour or 2 before tip off to get a seat. Everyone is going crazy. Our shooters piling in 3 pointers or easy back cuts. It's 20-6, we and they know it is already over. Memorial is bumping. Been a long time...

Re: Pitt
No one hitting.....and giving up too many 3's(7). We are shooting too many air balls. We really have too many non-offensive players. Liam playing well. Not enough plays to allow Stute to shoot.
