Looking forward to being back at The Bank for the first time since Sept. 10 (for me, after having to miss the Ole Miss Game).
But Brent, I wonder if you're still predicting 2 SEC wins given that the Gamecocks are now 5-2, knocked off A&M Saturday and are now ranked 25th in both polls. SC was certainly on my list of possible Ws but the possibilities are dwindling.

South Carolina is riding high alright, but that just feeds into what I belleve is a real vulnerability - overconfidence. They do not consider us a threat at all. They are so accustomed to defeating us that the millisecond the schedule comes out each year, they put a W by our game.

Our remaining best chance at a win is no longer South Carolina, but Florida.

The chances of winning two out of our last six have certainly dwindled with the loss to Missouri and the possible loss of Swann. Much of my hopes for two wins on the SEC schedule were pinned on Swann and what he can do. It's a much smaller chance now, for sure. But not out of the question.FayetteDore wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 12:29 pm But Brent, I wonder if you're still predicting 2 SEC wins given that the Gamecocks are now 5-2, knocked off A&M Saturday and are now ranked 25th in both polls. Derek Mason's teams seemed to play their best football in November. I'm hoping that Clark Lea's team will use this bye week to pull some things together and enter the final four with renewed focus.

As Johnny Majors used to say, they remember what you do in November.

Sorry to be debbie downer, but with one QB who is a below average passer and refused to run Saturday and two RBs who are both hurt, our prospects for scoring have dropped WAY down, which drops the chances of winning. 3-9 seems a lock.

To Auric’s point, best shot would be against a reeling Florida team on a chilly late Nov night.

We haven’t beaten South Carolina in 13 tries… If we do, we should probably storm the field. Or I guess we should ask someone in Knoxville, do you have to wait 15+ Years?

Since Charleston finds such behavior distasteful, he will likely disagree but I say go for it.
Unfortunately, the Event Staff security folks will probably outnumber the fans attempting to storm the field, so it probably would be better to avoid the spectacle of a failed storming.

The problem there is, if we do, this time it costs us $500,000 I believe.FayetteDore wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 12:24 pmSince Charleston finds such behavior distasteful, he will likely disagree but I say go for it.

If our crowd stormed the field, it would look more like people strolling on the lawn at Centennial Park.commadore wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 12:43 pmThe problem there is, if we do, this time it costs us $500,000 I believe.FayetteDore wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 12:24 pmSince Charleston finds such behavior distasteful, he will likely disagree but I say go for it.

So if we are sold out for the tennessee game, they win, and their 28,000 fans storm the field and tear down our goal posts, does the SEC fine us?Doreknox wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 1:39 pmIf our crowd stormed the field, it would look more like people strolling on the lawn at Centennial Park.commadore wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 12:43 pmThe problem there is, if we do, this time it costs us $500,000 I believe.FayetteDore wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 12:24 pm

It would be just like the Chuggers to storm the field with time remaining on the clock and their team with the ball and trailing.
