Why is CCL listed as #20 on coaches hot seat list?

Post by cc11316 »

I tend to check this listing from time to time as an indicator of which coaches may not see next season. Much to my surprise, our own CCL is listed as #20 on the Coaches Hot Seat. Am I missing something? He's at Vanderbilt which is typically very tolerant of coaches. He seems to be changing the culture and recruiting has been much better since his arrival. Why would anyone think his job was at risk? I'm not worried about it but just thought it was a strange rating.

Many of these are utterly insane. Pat Fitzgerald? Greg Schiano? Jedd Fisch? Dino Babers?

And no Brian Kelly?

because the authors of that list are idiots who, to quote Jim Cramer from Mad Money years ago, "they know nothing, they know nothing"

Florida Atlantic blew out the Healy Niners of Charlotte 43-13 and then F.A. lost to Ohio University so at this point I would replace Tim Albin of Ohio on the list with Will Healy of Charlotte who also got blown out in week 2 by William & Mary 41-22. UNCC was expected to start the season 2-0 and at 0-2 have not sniffed a win.

If Ohio doesn't win this week at Penn State, I don't think Albin will get fired over it. Two of Charlotte's next 3 games are vs Maryland and South Carolina. :o

Anyone with a computer can type a list - no intelligence or skill required. CCL is in no trouble at VU. The writer of this list is a cretin with calluses on his knuckles.

MTSU coach Stockstill isn’t on this list? They lost their opener 44-7 to James Madison University! They only had two first downs in the first half!

I didn’t even know James Madison University had a football team!

MTSU fans are not happy with Stockstill and I’m surprised he’s not on a “Hot Seats” list.

And Fitzgerald will be at Northwestern as long as he wants to be there. He’s turned downed several more high-profile jobs.

JMU not only has had a football team but a very good one over the years at the Division I-AA level. They have won two I-AA/FCS national championships in football since 2000.

Frost done after loss to mighty Georgia Southern. It's hard to think of another traditional powerhouse that has gone in the dumpster to this extent.

That's clickbait and not worth mentioning on here again.
It puts Steve Sarkisian at #10 despite Texas exceeding expectations against bama. In fact, Texas moved into the AP Top 25 and moved up two spaces in the Coaches Poll.

Where, other than fired, does it show Nebraska's coach?
He was canned today and is not even ON the list. What crap.

Once a coach is fired, he or his interim replacement show up in grey. If you go to the full list, it shows him.
