Sophomore QB George MacIntyre (not committed to Vandy, but Vandy Nation is certainly watching the grandson of the former coach) went 15-for-18 with a TD pass to lead Brentwood Academy to an impressive win over CPA. RB Deuce Scott had 230 yards rushing. Earlier this week MacIntyre was named the No. 2 QB in the class of 2025 by one of the recruitin' services. CPA has held the upper hand over BA for a couple of years, so it was a huge win for BA. The Tennessean has some highlights here...

Tonight (Saturday), Lipscomb Academy (Vandy WR commit Junior Sherrill) goes up against Thompson, probably the best team in the state of Alabama. The game is being televised nationally at 8 pm CT on ESPNU and should serve as a nice appetizer leading up to Vandy-Hawaii at 9:30 CT on CBS Sports Network.

In his debut for Fort Worth-North Crowley (he transferred high schools in the offseason), Vanderbilt TE commitment Ka'Morreun Pimpton had 5 catches for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Also making his 2022 debut, VU RB commitment Sedrick Alexander of Austin-LBJ had 160 yards rushing and a TD in a loss.

WR commit Duran Parish (Biloxi) had the Play of the Night

Unfortunately Biloxi lost 21-17. Parish got hurt on the next to last play of game - and was unfortunately unavailable for the last play (they needed him!). Haven’t heard yet whether it was serious. He also had a really impressive punt return in the game - almost for a touchdown.
