South Carolina at Georgia is obviously the big one in terms of tourney seeding. I want to be fair, but I think it's accurate to say Georgia has been a bit of a disappointment. Sitting at 6-5, they're in danger of being at .500 with four games to go. Right now they would be out of the top four and miss out on the two-round tournament bye. I think they expected more when Morrison and Staiti came back for fifth seasons. A win today over South Carolina would switch that narrative around in a hurry.

A&M is 4-7 in the conference and in desperate need of an upset of LSU today. Every SEC team that has finished the regular season with an 8-8 record has made the NCAA tourney. Only four teams with a 7-9 record have ever made it. A loss today would put A&M at eight losses, and they still have to play South Carolina. I think it is possible if they wind up 7-9 with losses to LSU and South Carolina in the coming weeks, the committee might lean their way to give Gary Blair one more run in the tourney before he retires at season end. Circumstances might not allow for that to happen without ripping off some other team. The tourney expands to 68 teams this season, so that would seem to work in A&M's favor.
